This lovely geometric set may look simple at first glance, but the facet shape glass squares in this delicious fresh green jade color make all the difference. The squares are made of molded/pressed glass, and set in gilded brass prong settings. The earrings are clip-ons. Did you know that non-pierced/clip on earrings fashion begun as early as the turn of the 19th century. In those days ladies believed that piercing the flesh of one’s ear lobe was uncivilized. Some still carry these believes. The clips on these earrings are called 'paddle back' which have the benefit that the tightness can be altered. The rather large spring ring clasp opens well and closes tightly, yet I would always advise an extra safety chain. The simplest of outfits can be made sophisticated or creative with a splash of color and design.
