This is literally the text from the very first add of this striking Bulova watch, which was launched in 1938.“Bulova presents the RITE-ANGLE a sensational new idea in a man’s watch. Gracefully raised at one end – at the right angle to your eye – you see the full dial at a glance. Choose from seven handsome models – all 17 jewels. Right in price, right in your line of vision, the Bulova RITE-ANGLE is the greatest improvement in wrist watch since the advent of the wrist watch itself.”

This Bulova breathes Art Deco with a super sleek streamlined triple-stepped design created in 10k rolled gold. The top step has been decorated with an extremely refined engraving. The case is slightly curved and fits perfectly on your wrist. The original dial features the gold-colored Bulova logo and numerals both are raised. The hands are also gold-colored. The sub-second scale has a recessed center circle with a very fine circular pattern. The crown sits snug alongside the case but offers more than enough grip for pleasant winding. Inside is the manually wound Bulova 8AE caliber movement with 17 jewels. This USA manufactured movement was introduced in 1932 and used until 1949. The movement bears the date code of a ‘Cresent Moon’ indicating it dates from 1938.
A USA-made 'Twist-O-Flex' watch band has been added to maintain the watch's glamorous look. These watch bands are very easy to wear, as they have a lot of stretch; you simply slide them over your hand onto your wrist and off you go. They are also extremely durable and, believe it or not, are making a comeback.
