Yet another handsome Marvin watch, a ‘Hermetic’ Marvin to be precise. Hermetic refers to the tightly sealed construction of the case with the purpose of preventing fluids or damp to enter. These watches were often supplied with high-quality Swiss movements. This Marvin is powered by the manual wind in-house Swiss Marvin caliber 560 with sweep second hand, guaranteeing a smooth and continuous movement. The 560-caliber movement was launched in 1945. This high-quality Marvin also offers ‘Shock Absorption’ and “Non-Magnetic’ features, as stated on the dial. Speaking of the dial, isn’t it stunning. The two-tone black/grey dial has aged beautifully, and the outer ring has lovely shaped luminated numbers, and the inner circle consists of seconds-scale, which is rather unusual. The second hand is lacquered in a deep red color. The stainless-steel case has rounded sides and a screw back cover. The case is glossy except for the sides of the tear-drop lugs. We added a Nato one piece strap which blends in nicely with the Marvin shades.
