“Introduced in 1957, their luxury-focused Flagship line was one of the first watches to be given a name that featured prominently in international marketing campaigns, earning the manufacture a well-deserved reputation for quality and prestige” (Wikipedia)
Most strikingly features of this Longines watch is its legendary inhouse movement, caliber 431 and the gold and enamel Longines "Flagship" medallion. The flagship used in the medallion is in reality a “Caravel” which is a small, highly maneuverable sailing ship developed in the Age of Discovery.
Another detail which sets this Longines Flagship apart is the rare 12 o’clock date, the 3 o’clock is much more common. Also, the steel indexes are rare too, most are found to be gold colored.
Unmistakably this Flagship has sailed many seas but it is far from setting anchor as yet, it still has many oceans to concur.
