The Bulova Watch Company was founded in 1875 New York by Joseph Bulova, he became a huge success from the get-go. Bulova launched its very first wristwatch line in 1919. Bulova set another milestone in 1927 by creating the world's first corporate observatory on the peak of a skyscraper in New York City, ensuring their timepieces were set with unparalleled precision through celestial (heavenly 😇) timekeeping. They placed ads in newspapers and made tv commercials with catchy slogans to boost their watchmaking business even more. Their watches appeared on popular celebrities wrists on the Hollywood screens. And as if that wasn’t enough, they also sponsored several tv programs.
And now to the ‘eye catching’ Bulova with distinctive skyscraper stepped case. Not many watches have such a stylish outspoken Art Deco look as this does, it practically screams Art Deco.
Inside you will find the 10AE caliber movement, signed Bulova Watch Co. USA, 21 jewels, adjusted, and a triple A status; “AAA”. The "AAA" rating refers to the quality of the movement. You might say, this is a similar classification of an hotel with a 5 stars rating. This extra rating was used till the year 1940.
Freshly serviced and in need of a companion who truly appreciates the fabulous Art Deco period with all its sophisticated glamour.
By the way, did you know there is actually a secret Bulova Museum on the 29th floor of the Empire State Building, could be fun to visit.
