The cross shape was used long before christianity and it has evolved far beyond a religious statement, becoming an integral part of a broader fashion trend. This distinctive 1930's Theodor Fahrner necklace with cross pendant carries all the typical TF characteristics, such as the fine handcrafted filigree simulating cord swirls, interrupted by playful dots, and the middles section consists of tiny dots lined-up in a V-shape pattern line towards the middle, the outer rim of the cross and bail/eyelet is also adorned with a simulated cord. In the middle is a clear light sea green beautiful faceted aquamarine (most likely synthetic) that sparkles and shines at the slightest movement. The cross pendant is signed Theodor Fahrner, 925 (silver content) and TF, and the necklace is marked 925 and TF. The warm color comes from the gold wash which the whole necklace has received, commonly known as gilded silver. The pendant measures 7.5 cm including the eyelet, and the chain itself measures approximately 62 cm. The chain does not only have a beautiful design, is also feels extremely smooth to the touch. Owning a stunning piece of designer jewelry from a world-renowned jewelry house is like owning a piece of history and writing a new chapter.
