This ‘near mint’ Movado Sport watch is a gem.The Movado watch has an extraordinary case, a ‘Gold Cap’ is usually a thick evenly spread layer, but this gold layer consists of half of the lugs, a layer you will never wear through. Not surprising as it is signed FB - François Borgel case. François Borgel was considered one of the best suppliers of watch cases in Switzerland. You can hardly see the difference while wearing a solid gold, gilded or gold cap watch, but the price will make a difference especially with the current gold fever frenzy. The original crown has a lovely shape, and good grip. The original champagne colored two-tone dial is stunning. It has a striking detail, ‘17 jewels’ is printed onto the sub-second scale, see photo. The Swiss in-house manual wind Movado caliber 125 was launched in 1946, it not only looks amazing, it also offers high quality and reliability. The movement is extra protected by a dust cover. The acryl crystal is slightly domed, clear and unscratched. It has received a full overhaul; it has been cleaned, tuned, adjusted and is keeping good time. Sold with 1 year warranty.
What more can I say, it ticks a lot of boxes in my humble opinion.
