Winter is here and Christmas is just around the corner, so this will be the last watch of the year.
You could say we have a soft spot for Movado, figures though Movado has produced and engineered the most amazing watches, with such high quality, such imagination, such superb technology, and no we do not own any Movado shares .
Getting a tad carried away here, back to business, the Movado Calendograf was in production from 1938 to 1951. And with its many functions as date, day and month this magnificent timepiece gives you so much and more.
Within the high quality stunning FB - Francois Borgel manufactured watch case you will find the in-house 475 Movado caliber movement ticking away the time. What makes this caliber so unique is that it contains a separate module, with its own separate bridge, this prevents any meddling on the time keeping function, how brilliant is that?! This is the one and only full calendar mechanism executed in this manner.
The original dial has aged remarkably, it has become a lovely shade of pearly deep creamy vanilla and matte minty green.
We applied an animal friendly ‘recycled apple fiber’ watch strap in a dark brown shade, which intensifies the unmistakable 1940’s appearance.
It's a perfect example of vintage Movado at its very best.
This magnificent piece of history can be yours, priced just under the fifteen hundred you get a remarkable watch and excellent value.
